The Skyland Conference Senior All-Star Game committee has announced the selections for this year’s event, giving senior softball players from across the league one final opportunity to represent their schools. The game is set for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, at Diamond Nation in Raritan Township, an event sponsored by Diamond Nation.
The All-Star contest will feature Team American, coached by North Hunterdon’s Anthony Rotondo and assisted by Somerville coach Karissa Astrella, against Team National, led by Pingry head coach Chip Carver with assistance from Warren Hills coach Renee Smola. This nine-inning game ensures that each player will have a chance to play the field, with each team’s entire roster batting in order throughout the contest.
This year’s honorees were selected by the Skyland All-Star Game Committee, based on nominations from the league’s 23 coaches. Here are the players and coaches chosen for this year’s event:
